Recently, the Institute of Higher Education of Zhejiang University released the ‘Annual Report on Internationalisation of Higher Education in Zhejiang Province (2023)’, and our university's overall internationalisation level was ranked the third among the top 10 higher vocational colleges and universities in the province.

Entrusted by Zhejiang Education Association for International Exchange, Zhejiang University's Research on Higher Education has been carrying out internationalisation surveys on colleges and universities in the province since 2012, compiling the index of internationalisation of higher education in Zhejiang Province, and has released the Annual Report for the 13th consecutive year.

The annual report investigates the internationalisation development of 107 universities in our province in 2023, and analyses the internationalisation of talent cultivation, internationalisation of faculty, international cooperation and research, international exchanges, industry-university-research co-operation, service for the development of ‘One Belt, One Road’ and internationalisation support and guarantee, etc.. The internationalisation level of 107 universities is ranked also according to four categories: universities with master's and doctoral degrees, general undergraduate colleges, independent colleges, and higher vocational colleges and universities. On the basis of the comprehensive adjustment of the internationalisation index system in 2022, the Annual Report has further optimised the relevant indicators such as their cooperation platforms, international communication, organisation management, etc., to highlight the overall requirements of integrating ‘going out’ and ‘bringing in’.

In the future, the university will continue to adhere to the concept of internationalisation, further promote the internationalisation strategy, expand the international exchange and cooperation between domestic universities and overseas universities at multiple levels in the fields of faculty and student exchanges, academic cooperation, education management, etc., and build bridges between Chinese and foreign universities.
